Gortnamona N.S., situated in the parish of Killoughey, barony of Ballyboy, overlooks Pallas Lake in the centre of County Offaly. This area is rich in flora and fauna with various habitats in the immediate vicinity. Pallas Lake is very popular with fishermen and also provides a base for many nature study lessons. We are lucky to also have an area of woodland and an area of bogland within one kilometre of the school.
